TOURAJ NASSERI, P.ENG., PH.D

Touraj Nasseri is the Alberta Transportation’s director and program sponsor for the Transportation Infrastructure Management System (TIMS). TIMS is a knowledge system for lifecycle infrastructure management. Touraj is also an adjunct professor at the University of Alberta where he teaches a graduate course in knowledge and innovation management.

During 25 years of working in the private and public sectors and academia, Touraj has made significant contributions in management, engineering, R&D, technology commercialization and education. He has participated and led many projects in innovation management, engineering consulting, technology development & commercialization in Canada, the US and the UK. He has also advised government and industry on science & technology strategy. Touraj has professional engineering designations in Alberta and the UK and has a Ph.D. in engineering from Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine, the University of London, UK.
