Graduated from the University of Toronto in 1973 with a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering

Earned an M.A.Sc. from the same university in 1978

Analysed airfield delays at Toronto and Vancouver Airports for Transport Canada, 1978-79.

Accepted position with the City of Edmonton in Jan. 1980 as Technical Evaluations Officer – responsible for performance monitoring of innovations.

Became the Pavement Management Engineer in 1981 with responsibilities for the development of a road network database and its performance monitoring.

Current duties include the administration of the data collection program for the pavement and sidewalk networks, as well as responsibility for the City’s asphalt repair program. The latter includes maintenance paving, crack-sealing operations, pothole repairs, and asphalt sidewalk renewal.

Participated in the National Infraguide project between 2001 and 2006 as a member of the Municipal Roads Technical Committee as well as a member of the Municipal Infrastructure Committee.
