BRAD BERTEAU, P.ENG.
Brad Berteau is a managing senior principal with Stantec Consulting Ltd. As
the Operations Leader for Building Engineering, Brad is responsible for the engineering
design and production activities of the Edmonton Buildings Engineering group.
Brad joined Stantec in 2000 and has been in the commercial and institutional
buildings engineering sector exclusively with multi-discipline consulting engineering/architectural
companies his entire career. During these 20 years, he has worked on a wide range
of buildings engineering planning, design, construction administration, and commissioning
projects. Brad’s primary experience is in the Alberta marketplace however,
he also has had considerable cold climate design experience in the Northwest
Territories. While the majority of his experience comes from large health care
projects in Alberta, he has also worked in the areas of retail commercial, large
post secondary education, and insurance investigation failure cause determination.
Brad has delivered several technical seminars on ventilation design for General and Tuberculosis Isolation Rooms and has guest lectured at the University of Alberta Mechanical Engineering department for core curriculum courses on the subject of Heating, Ventilation, and Air-conditioning (HVAC) design. He is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), and served as local chapter AEE president for 4 years.
Brad received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He is a professional engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta.
