The torch is passed to APEGGA's 83rd president, Ron Tenove,
P.Eng., during the Annual General Meeting in Edmonton April
27 (below left). Left of the new president, a 54-year-old,
Edmonton-born consulting engineering manager, is Past President
Dale Miller, P.Eng., and right is Executive Director and Registrar
Neil Windsor, P.Eng., as they conduct the official Oath of
Office ceremony. Mr. Tenove received his bachelor of science
degree in civil engineering from the University of Alberta
in 1970, followed by his master of engineering degree in soft
and rock mechanics in 1971. He is the director, corporate
development, at the Focus Corporation in Edmonton. Mr. Tenove
and his wife, Pat, a physiotherapist, have two sons - Chris,
a freelance journalist living in Vancouver, and Colin, a doctor
of traditional Chinese medicine living in Calgary. In another
ceremony, known as the vesting, Mr. Miller and Sue Evison,
P.Eng., the 81st president, do up the button (right).
