SUMMARY
This introductory training course on green roof infrastructure
design presents many of the tools and techniques needed to meet
your green roof project objectives on schedule, to specification,
and within budget.
This course is targeted to the following professions:
* architects
* landscape architects
* engineers
* planners
* roofing consultants and roofing contractors
* horticulturists
* specifiers
* developers
* policy makers
Tuition for this one-day course is $395 per person and includes
course materials, lunch, and a one-year individual membership of
Green Roofs for Healthy Cities - the green roof industry association
for North America. Co-host members will receive a $45 discount,
where applicable. Registration fees are accepted online or if a
cheque is mailed, must be received in our office three days prior
to the event. For those using AIA, ASLA, or RCI credits towards
their local/regional association or for license renewal can receive
7.5 education credits from this course.

CANADIAN MASONRY RESEARCH INSTITUTE
LECTURE
This
lecture series has been developed in partnership with the Canadian
Masonry Research Institute (CMRI) to address the broad topic
of masonry
and architecture. Ed Allan, noted architect, author and educator,
will
lecture on innovative and beautiful applications of brick and mortar.
Ed
Allen has designed more than 50 buildings in California and New
England. He taught technical courses and design studios for many
years
at M.I.T. He is the author of a number of reference books, including
How
Buildings Work, fundamentals of Building Construction, The Architect's
Studio Companion, and Architectural Detailing.
