In
a global market, it is vital that professionals attain and
maintain the highest level of efficiency, productivity and
ethical conduct possible. Now more than ever, professionals
need to do what they can to stay competitive. For engineers,
geologists and geophysicists, this includes by being licensed
with The Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists
and Geophysicists of Alberta. The designations P.Eng, P.Geol
and P.Geoph show that professional engineers, geologists and
geophysicists are performing at their peak and operating at
their competitive best. APEGGA charges individuals with devotion
to high ideas of personal honour and professional integrity.
APEGGA
is a self-governing association responsible to the people
of Alberta for the licensing of professional engineers, geologists
and geophysicists, the maintaining of professional standards
and upholding the Code
of Ethics.
Under the Engineering, Geological and Geophysical Professions
(EGGP) Act, an Alberta Government statute, APEGGA regulates
the professions of engineering, geology and geophysics in
Alberta. This means that only those individuals licensed with
APEGGA can practice or use titles relating to these three
professions on projects in Alberta.
APEGGA
believes it is important for members across Alberta to participate
in the achievements and activities of the association. There
are nine branches, one district, a head office in Edmonton
and an administrative office in Calgary.
