GEOSCIENCE AFFAIRS

APEGGA serves a large and diverse membership – one that includes more than 3,000 geologists, geophysicists and geoscience members in training. And what geoscientists need from their professional Association is not always the same as what engineers need.

Registration requirements are different. Not all of APEGGA’s published standards and guidelines apply to geoscience. And although engineers and geoscientists are regulated together and sometimes work together, their histories and professional cultures aren’t the same either.

That’s why this area exists and why one APEGGA manager’s job is dedicated to the geoscience community.
