Nominations for the 14th Annual Alberta
Business Awards of Distinction are being accepted. Businesses
that have succeeded
in their field are encouraged to submit a nomination detailing
their success.
"These awards recognize the best there is in Alberta
business and the contribution that businesses of all shapes
and sizes make to this incredible province,” said Mark
Lencucha, president of the Alberta Chambers of Commerce.
The 2005 Alberta Business Awards of Distinction will recognize
excellence in the following categories: Small Business, Export,
Safety in the Workplace, Aboriginal Relations, Marketing,
Diversity in the Workplace, First Nation's-owned Business,
Employer of People with Disabilities, Learning in the Workplace,
Ethics in Business and Outstanding Achievement. All finalists
must meet general eligibility requirements along with category-specific
eligibility requirements.
The awards are hosted by the Alberta Chambers of Commerce
in association with numerous corporate sponsors. "For
over 14 years, we have had the support of a number of Alberta
businesses and organizations along with the government that
have helped make this recognition program possible. We are
truly grateful for their continuing support," said Mr.
Lencucha.
The awards will be presented at a gala banquet, Feb. 23 at
the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton. Entry information
for the Alberta Business Awards of Distinction is online
at www.abbusinessawards.ab.ca. Deadline for entries is
close of business, Nov. 15.
