APEGGA members and others connected to the
Association responded to The PEGG's request to forward names
of family members who recently graduated from university engineering
or geoscience programs.
Shane Van Buskirk, brother of Chad Van Buskirk,
M.I.T., (civil/environmental) and son of Colin Van
Buskirk, P.Eng., (electrical) have graduated in mechanical
engineering from the University of Alberta.
Dr. Emmanuel O. Egbogah, P.Eng., is pleased to announce
his son, Emy Emmanuel Egbogah, has graduated with a
B.Sc., honours, in computer engineering from the University
of Alberta.
Douglas Minken, P.Geol., informs fellow APEGGA members
that his son, Jonathan Minken (student member), has graduated
from the University of Alberta with an honours B.Sc. in geology.
Bart J. Zacher just graduated from civil engineering
at University of Calgary. His father, Brian J. Zacher,
P.Eng., graduated from mechanical engineering (gold medal)
at U of C in 1973.
Thomas (Tom) Michael Coolen graduated from Dalhousie
University, Halifax, N.S., May 2002, with a bachelor of mechanical
engineering degree and is working in Red Deer. APEGGA member
M. E. (Mike) Coolen, P.Eng., his father, from Halifax,
is the director of East Coast operations, Canadian Superior
Energy Inc., Calgary.
Hing Y. Lo, P.Eng., a life member of APEGGA, is happy
to announce that his daughter, Suzanna W. Lo, has just
completed her chemical engineering degree at the University
of Calgary.
Brian Choon-Boon Ng, son of Dr. Heng Joo Ng, P.
Eng., is a 2002 graduate of the co-op program in electrical
engineering at the University of Alberta.
Past APEGGA President Dale Miller, P.Eng., announces that
his son Trevor Miller graduated in April from the University
of Alberta in computer engineering. Trevor's future wife,
and therefore Dale's future daughter-in-law, Sharon Embree,
also graduated in computer engineering this past spring.
APEGGA staff member Lyda Uitvlugt announces with pride
the graduation of her son Trevor Uitvlugt from mechanical
engineering at the University of Alberta.
D. H. Hushion, P.Eng., has two grandchildren who have
graduated from the University of Calgary in mechanical engineering
this past year, Christopher Walls and Elizabeth
Walls.
The PEGG salutes all the graduates and their
proud families.
