Hires PR Coordinators
Two key public relations positions in Calgary and Edmonton have now been
filled, APEGGA Communications and Public Affairs Director Chrys. Dmytruk,
P.Eng. announced over the summer. Carmen Killick joins the Calgary office
and Bronwen Strembiski the Edmonton office, both as public relations coordinators.
Ms Killick will be responsible for the Student Outreach Program, as well
as public relations and trade shows in Southern Alberta. She will also
assist with the APEGGA Student Advantage Program and the Student Liaison
Committee at the University of Calgary.
Ms Killick has a bachelor of arts from the University of Victoria, a bachelor
of applied communications with a major in public relations from Mount
Royal College in Calgary, and an e-business professional certificate from
the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary.
She has worked in the investment industry for RBC Dominion Securities,
as a VIP concierge for the Palliser Hotel and as a communications consultant
for Drilling Records Ltd.
Ms Strembiski will be involved in communications, public relations and
publications from the Edmonton office. She has a diploma in public relations
from Grant McEwan College and is currently working on her bachelor of
professional arts, majoring in communications, through Athabasca University.
Most recently, she worked at Arden Theatre.
Ms Strembiski and husband Jon have two young boys.
