PEGG Redesign Garners Award

The PEGG has received an APEX Award of Excellence in recognition of a redesign the APEGGA's monthly publication implemented in its January 2000 edition.

The APEX Award for Publication Excellence is a competition for communications professionals sponsored by Writing That Works, a business communication report published by Communications Concepts Inc., of Springfield, Virginia.

Close to 5,000 entries were submitted for judging in 96 print and multimedia categories covering areas such as design, content, presentation and writing. Sixty-six grand awards are given in honour of outstanding work in 11 broader categories. About a quarter of the entries received Awards of Excellence of the type obtained by The PEGG. The PEGG was one of seven publications to receive recognition in the most improved megapaper or newspaper category.

The entries represent a cross-section of publications and communication vehicles produced by a variety of organizations, including professional associations, corporations and not-for profit agencies.

In 1998, The PEGG received an APEX Award of Excellence in the general category.
