Chrys. Dmytruk, P.Eng., has left APEGGA after more than three
years as Director of Communications and Public Affairs. "Since
starting at APEGGA in October 1998, Chrys. has been a strong
and loyal contributor to the Association as a director. We
thank him for his contributions to the department and to the
Association, and wish him all the best in his future endeavors,"
said Executive Director Neil Windsor, P.Eng.
Before joining the staff, Mr. Dmytruk put in a number of years
as an APEGGA volunteer. He served on Council for two years
in the mid-1980s and served on various committees, chairing
several of them, including Honours and Awards (1985-86), Publications
and Editorial Advisory (1996-97) and Communications Planning
(1997).
He has government and industry experience, too. Mr. Dmytruk
was senior director of the industry development division of
Alberta Economic Development when he left the provincial government,
after holding a number of positions with the department dating
back to 1973. And he worked for Celanese Canada before that.
Mr. Dmytruk holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical
engineering from the University of Alberta, and an MBA from
the University of Western Ontario.
