The APEGGA Medicine Hat Branch was a partner in sponsoring a two-day Science
Expo involving students who were bused in from rural schools in the area
to take part in and observe entertaining and instructive science demonstrations.

The
Central Alberta APEGGA Branch/Red Deer College First Year Engineering
Project Award was recently presented. Twelve teams designed, wrote and
orally presented their engineering projects to their peers as well as
to professional engineers. The winning team members designed an improved
tent. The team members are Jim Lytle (second from left), Sara Purvis,
and Trevor Dueck. The students are flanked by Central Alberta Branch Chair
Kim Harry Ng, P.Eng., and Arun Mishra, P.Eng., PhD of Red Deer College.
