President-Elect
Linda Van Gastel, P.Eng.
|
Every year at this time, APEGGA Council begins preparations
for the annual strategy retreat held each May. The president-elect
is responsible for setting the agenda for the strategy session,
and seeks support from APEGGA staff and Council.
This year the strategy retreat will deal primarily with
long-range planning. Council will revisit existing goals
and strategies, make changes where needed, and establish
a long-range plan to guide APEGGA for the next five to 10
years. Council will also attempt to identify the top priority
items for immediate action in the next one to two years,
and confirm action plans for these items.
This is an ambitious agenda, and one that should have long-standing
impact on APEGGA. It will be important to have input from
as many stakeholders as possible, and especially from APEGGA
members.
President-Elect Linda Van Gastel, P. Eng., would like your
input to help frame the key issues. Please take a moment
to provide your thoughts on the following questions:
1. What do you think are the top two or three issues that
APEGGA will need to address in the next five to 10 years?
2. What do you think are the top two or three issues that
APEGGA will need to address in the next one or two years?
3. What does APEGGA need to accomplish with respect to each
issue – what should our objectives be in each of these
areas?
4. What should APEGGA, stop doing, start doing, or do more
of?
