APEGGA Expands Contact With Members Assistant Director, Communications & Public Affairs, Joins Association

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ross Plecash, P.Eng., to the newly created APEGGA position of Assistant Director, Communications & Public Affairs. Ross has been a volunteer with APEGGA and brings industry experience to his new role.

The PEGG, the website, district and branch meetings, information sessions and president's visits have been the main vehicles used to communicate with members. APEGGA is expanding initiatives aimed at enhancing communications and liaison with members, permit holders and other stakeholders. Ross's primary responsibility will be to further expand contact with members by visiting them at their places of employment.

Most recently, Ross was the manager of product delivery with EPCOR Energy Services. For six years he was a lubricant sales engineer with Husky Oil Marketing Company, and for five years was the service centre supervisor for BW/IP International Limited, Mechanical Seal Division.

A 1988 graduate in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta, Ross is currently working on his master's degree in engineering management at U of A. He and his wife Janice have three young daughters.
