Alberta Infrastructure Adopts Document
Developed by APEGGA/AAA Joint Board
Following the publication and distribution of the APEGGA/Alberta Association
of Architects Joint Board of Practice document "Recommended Conditions
of Engagement and Schedule of Professional Fees for Building Projects",
Alberta Infrastructure has agreed to adopt the document as a guideline
for building projects owned, managed or funded by the department, subject
to certain exceptions and modifications which have been established in
meetings between Alberta Infrastructure and the Joint Board.
A document entitled "A Framework for the Procurement of Architectural
and Engineering Services for Building Projects Owned, Managed or Funded
by Alberta Infrastructure" and dated Dec. 1, 1999, recognizes that certain
items in the joint guideline denoted as "additional services" are handled
by Alberta Infrastructure in their project administration and are thus
recognized as included in "basic services" as related to their projects.
Copies of the framework document are available at both APEGGA and AAA
offices.
