2000 APEGGA Annual General Conference:
Building Our Professions!
"Building Our Professions" -- a positive outlook for the new
millennium -- is the theme of this year's APEGGA
Annual General Conference being held Wednesday, April 26 to Friday,
April 28. Edmonton's Shaw Conference Centre is the primary site of the
conference program, which encompasses two days of professional development
sessions, the Summit Awards® Gala, the Annual General Meeting and Luncheon,
and a guest program.
APEGGA holds an annual general conference to give members an opportunity
to grow in the professions, network and learn more about their Association.
Organizers have built on the success of last year's event with another
ambitious program.
The Summit Awards® gala is the social event of the year, bringing together
leaders in the professions, business, government and education. It's an
opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of Alberta's engineers and
geoscientists.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the pivotal event of the week, providing
an opportunity to become involved in the business of the Association,
vote on matters that are brought before the meeting, hear about issues
of importance relating to APEGGA and the professions, and present motions
for consideration by Council. The AGM Luncheon follows, providing attendees
with a stimulating guest speaker.
