There's something for everybody…
Over the years, APEGGA's Annual General Conference
has become a forum for establishing, maintaining and improving contacts
and cooperation between engineers and geoscientists across Alberta.
The conference is an opportunity for members to network, share insights and learn more about the professions and their professional association. The theme of the 2001 conference, "Beyond the Frontier" reflects the exciting, challenging and changing environments confronting the engineering and geoscience professions as they boldly step toward the future.
The Professional Development Program is designed to be informative and offers a wide range of cutting-edge seminars ranging from economics, management, environment and safety to personal skill development and refreshing social events at which to meet new people and renew old friendships.
The Summit Awards® Gala brings together engineering and geoscience professions, business, government and education to celebrate and acknowledge the accomplishments of some of the professions most technologically innovative and socially responsible individuals and firms.
The Annual General Meeting, Breakfast and Luncheon, the pivotal event of the conference, offers members the opportunity to become involved in the business of the Association, vote on matters brought before the meeting, hear issues of importance relating to APEGGA and the professions, and present motions for consideration by Council. The Annual General Meeting Luncheon follows the AGM, at which a guest speaker will address attendees.
As a precursor to the Annual General Meeting, members are invited to attend the complimentary Annual General Meeting Breakfast.
In addition to the conference functions, a guest program has been planned.
