Through the Practice Standards Committee, APEGGA provides members and the
public with guidance on the roles and responsibilities of professional members
through the development of guidelines and practice standards and the publication
of practice articles in The PEGG and on line. On a day-to-day basis, Professional
Practice Department staff also respond to individual inquires and requests for
assistance with practice issues.
The committee and staff also participate in the development and revision of numerous codes, standards and regulations that involve the practice of the professions. Several members of the Practice Standards Committee are also members of the province’s Safety Codes Council’s nine technical councils.
