Engineer
Engineers
use their imagination, creativity and expertise to solve problems
and improve the world we live in.
Engineers
design things we use everyday - from cars to airplanes, computers
to VCRs, toys to toothbrushes, and artificial limbs to kitchen appliances.
In fact, engineering affects our lives every day often without us
even realizing it.
What
kinds of engineers are there?
Are you interested in designing space shuttles and working in space?
Then aerospace engineering is the launchpad for you.
Do you wonder how things like bubble gum, cosmetics, hair colouring,
polymers, synthetic fibres, farming fertilizers or fuel for cars
are made? You might want to study chemical engineering.
Are you interested in the design and manufacturing of things that
moves or have moving parts - like airplanes, cars, toys, robots,
elevators and air conditioners? Try a career in mechanical engineering.
Salaries
for new engineering graduates range between $36,000 and $42,000.
