What is the Edmonton Science Olympics?
Teams of students from grades one to twelve will get the chance to get up close
and personal with the principles and theories of science at the 2004 Edmonton
Science Olympics, Saturday, March 6th in Hall A of the Shaw Conference Centre.
Organized by teachers from the Edmonton Catholic and Public Schools
and sponsored by the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists
and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA), the 2004 Edmonton Science
Olympics is an interactive science competition that allows students
to see first-hand how science affects our everyday lives.
The Olympics consists of two types of events:
- take home events, which are made in advance and brought to
the Olympics for on-site testing and judging
- mystery events, which are solved the day of the Olympics with
no pre-planning
Hope we see you and your team(s) at the Shaw Conference Centre
