APEGGA has prepared a near-final draft of a new guideline for Use of Geophysical Instruments in Near-Surface Investigations. The document outlines those areas of practice where non-geophysicists may use geophysical instruments without violating the exclusive practice provisions for geophysics as defined in the Engineering, Geological and Geophysical Professions Act.
The period for comments on the document closed on August 31, 2007. The committee that prepared dthe draft is now considering the feedback received.
