Rob Macdonald, P.Eng., CHRP (Calgary)
After graduating with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Rob spent 18 years
in the oil and gas industry as both producer and service provider. From 1991
to 1996, he was Chief Engineer, Managing Director and Chairman of a Russian oil
company. To increase production from a 200-well field in western Siberia,
he used technical, managerial and operational plans to create an oil company
with a “service company attitude”. Rob dealt with all human resources
aspects of the Russian and Canadian staff.
In 1996, Rob joined Western Leadership Centre Inc. He is involved in training and consulting, team and organizational development. Rob specializes in technical and operations areas of companies, bringing an engineer’s approach to Human Resources issues. He is one of a few engineers in Canada who has the Certified Human Resources Professional designation.
Katharine Bondy, B.Ed., CHRP (Edmonton)
Katharine has the human resource designation, CHRP, and a B.Ed. from U of
Saskatchewan. Her areas of expertise are team-building, strategic planning, leadership
and organizational design. Katharine gained this experience while working in
consulting engineering firms, manufacturing, healthcare and service industries.

Renee Paul, CHRP
Renee Paul is a Human Resource Consultant with The Performance Group. She
has provided training and consultation services to a variety of client groups
including several departments in the Alberta public sector, Alberta Hospital
Edmonton, the City of Edmonton, the Alberta Carpenters and Allied Workers Association,
and Norquest College. Renee has over 20 years experience in the administration
and human resources fields and provides a complete range of human resource
services.
After completion of this seminar, the participant will be able to:
Introduce a project management framework
Develop a project Charter
Explain the purpose of project goals and objectives
Identify project risks and stakeholders
Determine criteria for project success

George Jergeas, Ph.D., P.Eng.
George has a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Baghdad Tech. Univ. and an M.Sc.
and Ph.D. from Loughborough Univ. of Tech. in the UK. His major areas of
expertise are in project management, claims and disputes, dispute resolution
and teambuilding. George gained this experience while working in infrastructure
civil engineering and building projects.

Denise Burrell
Denise Burrell is recognized as a leader in personal and organization effectiveness
consulting. As co-founder and president of The Performance Group over the
past 10 years, she has facilitated thousands of workshops and seminars. Denise
draws on her experience as a manager, issue resolution specialist and corporate
coach to develop practical, relevant solutions with her clients.
Denise’s Masters of Adult Education (M.A.Ed.) is supplemented by a wide range of professional experience. She has a reputation for facilitating engaging interactive learning that participants remember and apply. Denise has provided conflict management training to over 100 client groups ranging from railway foremen and psychiatric nurses to office managers and staff.

Cheryl Lund, B.Ed., B.A.
Cheryl has a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the
U of A. She is a professionally trained editor, writer and educator. Cheryl
acquired her experience while working for Pebble Creek Communications as owner/operator
working with various clients on writing, editing, and training projects. She
also gained experience while working for Grant MacEwan College; Mexelta International;
Alberta Mental Health Board and the Government of Alberta. Cheryl is a
member of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, Alberta Entrepreneurs Association
and Editors’ Association of Canada.
