The engineering industry is changing. Global competitiveness, high ROI
demands, growing litigation, and the continuing demands of the public, government, and its
members are causing APEGGA to make changes. Come out and talk to the two people who are
currently the focal point of the Association, the President. Dan Motyka, P.Eng. and
Executive Director, Neil Windsor, P.Eng. Plan to attend BOTH the Issue Forum and
the Presidents Supper.
The Issue Forum (4:30 to 6:30) will provide an opportunity for
members, permit holders, and industry managers to ask about issues such as:
Specified Scope of Practice Are technicians replacing
engineers?
Professional Development Program: Is it working? Where do I
take relevant courses in Medicine Hat?
Upcoming Changes to the Pressure Vessel Act: How might this
affect industry? Where do I find good engineers now?
What changes are happening to liability?
What does APEGGA do for its members, industry or the public?
Follow up this lively discussion and meet your spouse with a
brief socializing session (6:30 7:00) followed by the Presidents Supper, a
brief Branch AGM, and a personal presentation from the President and Executive Director.
An educational and enjoyable evening for all.
