Tour of Red Deer's COLLICUTT RECREATION CENTRE
TIME: 6:30 p.m. tour, 8:00 p.m. refreshments
WHERE: Collicutt Recreation Centre, South Side (rink entrance) - (please use parking at Notre Dame High School, immediately south of Collicutt Centre)

The City of Red Deer will be proud to officially open their first multi-purpose indoor fieldhouse / recreation centre on June 15, 2001. We, as APEGGA members, have the unique privilege of touring this grand facility before the official opening! The centre has:

· Over 76,000 square metres (250,000 square feet) for the various facilities,
· 19 month construction period and over 700 workers during construction,
· $30 million cost,
· about 75 staff and 1100 parking stalls,
· 10 metre climbing wall,
· Chiropractor / massage clinic,
· Childminding service,
· NHL - size arena,
· Gymnastics room,
· 2 outdoor fields and a running track,
· soccer pavilion with two soccer pitches which can accommodate other activities,
· food court and full service sports store,
· fitness / dance studio,
· fitness centre with training machines and free weights,
· wave pool which holds up to 400 people,
· water slide, hot tubs, lazy river, steam room,
· field house accommodating tennis, volleyball, basketball and swing cages,
· indoor running track,
· boardroom and multi-purpose meeting rooms,
· and much more!
