"Construction of the North-South Trade Corridor: South Innisfail Interchange"
Alberta Transportation is investing significantly in the North South Trade Corridor to improve links with the United States and Mexico under NAFTA. As part of this effort the new South Innisfail Interchange is being constructed and other major projects on Highway 2 are underway.
Brian Reid, P.Eng. will discuss the traffic engineering, planning and safety issues driving this project. Mr. Reid is Manager of the Infrastructure Section of Alberta Transportation in Red Deer.
Andrew Poole, P.Eng. will highlight technical aspects of the interchange construction focussing on bridge design and construction issues. He has been a Bridge Engineer with Alberta Transportation in Red Deer since 2000.
