In March 2000, Economic Development Edmonton worked collaboratively with the support of an economic development planning firm to develop a new economic development strategy for the region. With the assistance of more than 1200 of Edmonton's economic stakeholders working in industry clusters, several strategies have emerged.

Mike Duff, co-chair of the Engineering and Technical Services cluster will provide an update on this cluster. He will outline:

* Barriers facing the engineering and construction industries
* Overview of collaborative actions
* Results achieved
* What's working and what's not!
* A future perspective
