Suncor Energy Inc. is the first company that launched commercial oil sands operation in 1967. In the past 35 years Suncor has increased its production capacity several times and has implemented many technological changes.
Suncor has recently completed its $3.4 billion Project Millennium to increase production capacity from 130,000 to 225,000 barrels/day of synthetic crude oil.
Suncor has announced plans to double its production capacity to 450,000 barrels/day by 2008 and further increase it to 550,000 barrels per day by 2010.
Mr. Ashar's presentation will cover the highlights and challenges of completing Project Millennium and future growth plans.
