Municipal Approvals Engineer

DEER (2 positions) - The Municipal Approvals Engineer is
part of a team responsible for reviewing applications and
drafting approvals, responding to public and ministerial
inquiries, serving on technical review committees, administering
grant programs, and providing technical support to stakeholders.
Approvals for municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities,
landfills and stormwater management systems are delivered
within the scope of department guidelines and the Environmental
Protection & Enhancement Act. The incumbent may also
assist with regulation of pesticide management facilities
within the region.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science, preferably in Civil or Environmental
Engineering and extensive experience in one or more areas
related to potable water treatment, municipal wastewater
treatment, subdivision development issues, and management
of solid waste, compost, and sludge. Experience in water
resource engineering would be an asset. Additional related
education may be considered in lieu of experience. Classification
and salary commensurate with successful candidate's qualifications.
Must be eligible for APEGGA membership. You must possess
a valid class 5 drivers' license. Applicants must also have
a willingness to travel occasionally.
