BRANCH ACTIVITIES
- Branch
executives met in December, January, and February to discuss upcoming
events
- On January
25th we had our first event of 2002. We were educated and
entertained by Glen Rogers, a local wine connasuer, on various types
of wines. Approximately 20 people attended with 3 ASET members attending.
Fun was had by all!
BRANCH
BUDGET
- An internal
audit was done in January to meet the January 31st deadline
for annual reviews
- We are
in good standing here, with a balance of $1900
UPCOMING EVENTS
- The next
few months will be busy!
- Feb 11th,
APEGGA will be participating in the Career Fair at the College
- Feb 26th,
There will be a Tech talk with Tracy Casavant on Industrial Ecology
- March
6th preparations for the President’s visit are occurring
with a luncheon with the Executives and Steak and Lobster in the evening.
March 7h takes the president’s visit to Peace River for a
luncheon and a presentation for the Teacher’s Award in 2001
- End of
March we are planning a Student’s Night and Job Shadow for our Engineering
students at the GPRC
- During
National Engineering Week, there is a Science Night Planned in Peace
River
- The Science
Olympics was originally planned for March 2nd, but due to
the teacher’s strike, it has been postponed until May 4th
