GENERAL BRANCH MEETINGS HELD

We have not held a General Branch Meeting since April 12, 2000. Our next General Branch Meeting will be November 28, 2000. Guest speaker is Ken Torrence P. Eng. on Automated Laser Eye Treatment (ALET)

OTHER BRANCH EVENTS HELD

Robert Arthur P. Eng., Branch member at large, attended the Medicine Hat College Awards Night on November 9, 2000 and personally handed out the APEGGA Scholarship Award to a first year transfer Engineering student.
Vern Fedor P. Eng. did an APEGGA Introduction presentation to the first year Medicine Hat College students on November 17th as part of the "Orientation to Engineering" course. Mr. Peter Wilson of the College has been contacting us frequently asking for our assistance to track down and supply names of engineers with different disciplines and skills to come into his class and speak. To the best of our ability we have been helping him out and three of our Branch Exec members are going into the class.

UPCOMING BRANCH EVENTS

The next Branch Meeting of the General Members is scheduled for 28th November. After that it is the President's Visit on February 27th , 2001.

BRANCH EXECUTIVE MEETINGS HELD

Our last Branch Executive meeting was held on October 26th, 2000. We decided at the meeting our Branch Exec structure is outdated. The present Branch Chair will come up with a new structure more in line with the new responsibilities and tasks that have been handed down from APEGGA Edmonton Office and according to what some Branch members have expressed as desirable.

NEXT BRANCH EXECUTIVE MEETING

Our next Branch Executive meeting is scheduled for January, 2001. Our Branch AGM is set for March 21, 2001.
