Melora Jones Appointed
Director of Administration
Melora Jones, C.A., has
been appointed APEGGA's Director of Administration, based in the Edmonton
office.
Ms.
Jones will oversee administration of the Association's Edmonton and Calgary
offices, including preparation of financial statements, and management
of human resources, payroll, purchasing and information systems. She also
will co-ordinate certain current member services, such as the résumé
referral service and the annual salary survey. She will assist in implementing
possible additional member services.
Ms.
Jones holds a commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and obtained
her C.A. designation after articling with an Edmonton accounting firm.
Prior to joining APEGGA, she was an internal auditor with TELUS. She also
has been employed as a comptroller for an insurance agency and has operated
her own accounting practice.
Ms.
Jones said she is looking forward to be involved with APEGGA, an already
strong organization, especially now it is undertaking a number of new initiatives,
such as a new business plan, changes to its reporting policy under the
new governance model, and the expansion of on-line services.

looks like it is an interesting period to be here."
Ms.
Jones is a member of Big Sisters, a director of the Alberta Easter Seals
Abilities Council and treasurer of the Pleasantview Community League.
