The board of an organization dedicated to safer transportation has approved eight research projects and firms. C-TEP is an association of firms and agencies interested in furthering the safety, efficiency and state of the art knowledge in road transportation in Alberta.
Members formed C-TEP to provide continuing education opportunities to transportation professionals and carry out applied research to solve identified Alberta problems. Members are the universities, major transportation consultants, suppliers, contractors, provincial and local governments.
C-TEP coordinates closely with the Transportation Association of Canada to ensure the programs are complementary.
A recent high note was the fruition of a number of years work with the University of Calgary, Alberta Motor Association and C-TEP in filling the AMA/C-TEP Chair, Professor in Road Safety, with Dr. Richard Tay.
