2007 APEGGA
Summit Award® Nominations
September 8, 2006
Re: 2007 APEGGA Summit Award® Nominations
As a Responsible Member for your firm, you are in a
leadership position. You
are concerned not only with ensuring your firm’s work is done to the highest
standards, but also with retention of your key people and the reputation and
promotion of your firm. Pride in one’s work is a hallmark of the
professional, and recognition of a job well done is a strong factor in employee
retention.
As professional engineers, geologists and geophysicists,
we APEGGA members take pride in our work and in our professions. Pride comes
from the knowledge that we have done a good job and also through recognition
of achievement by our peers. Each year, APEGGA presents the Summit Awards® to
recognize the achievements of outstanding members and to celebrate our professions.
By now you will have seen the insert in the July edition
of The PEGG calling
for nominations for the 2007 Summit Awards®. Do you know an individual
or a group who deserve recognition for leadership and excellence in the practices
of engineering, geology or geophysics? Is there someone you know who has made
an outstanding contribution to the professions or to the community? This is your
personal invitation to consider nominating that person or project for one of
these prestigious awards.
Online
you can find
a package that summarizes each of
the 11 Summit Awards®.
Take a moment to consider which colleagues you could celebrate. If
you know of a deserving person or project, you can access more detailed award
information and nomination forms in one of two ways: visit APEGGA’s website
at www.apegga.org and
choose “scholarships and awards” under the members section, or call
APEGGA’s head office.
Award nominations are accepted throughout the year,
but to be considered for the 2007 Summit Awards®, we need to receive your
nomination form by September 30, 2006.
Thank you, and if you have any questions, please contact
Ross Plecash, P.Eng., Director, Corporate & Member Affairs at (780) 426-3990
or (800) 661-7020.
Yours truly,
Andrew Vogan, P.Geol.
