THE ASET ISSUE
APEGGA to Make Presentation
to Standing Policy Committee
As many of you are already aware, the recently renamed Association of Science
and Engineering Technology Professionals in Alberta (ASET) has requested legislation
that will empower it to license applied science, information and engineering
technologists to practice technology independently in Alberta.
APEGGA and nine other professional regulators, known
as the Pro10, will be responding to both the name change and to ASET’s
request for legislation.

to display their creations during the Annual Conference. If you want to participate
in this great showcase of APEGGA talent, you need to register by April 5.
For more information, contact Kirsten Milner,

ABORIGINALS AND APEGGA
If Aboriginals were represented in our professions
to the same extent they are in the Alberta mosaic, APEGGA would have about 3,000
Aboriginal members. That’s not the case, however – the Association
believes the total is fewer than 100. Is there something you can do to help bring
more Aboriginals into the engineering and geoscience fold?
