KAZIMIERZ SZYMOCHA
Kazimierz Szymocha is a Senior Research Officer with the Alberta Research Council,
Edmonton. He received his D.Sc. (1993) and Ph.D. (1975) both in Technical Sciences,
from the Technical University of Wroclaw, Poland.
Before coming to Canada he was an Assistant Professor of Energy Conversion and
Power Generating Systems in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Technical
University of Wroclaw for 20 years.
In Canada during the last 18 years, when working with the Alberta Research Council, he conducted extensive research in the areas of fuel processing, solids agglomeration, coal beneficiation and upgrading, hydrocarbon contaminated soils remediation and solar energy systems application. His recent main interest and subject of study is development of integrated solar energy systems for residential houses and commercial buildings heating. Presently, he is leading a research projects on development of innovative, cost-effective, wall-integrated thermal solar system for space heating. He has published of 110 papers and three textbooks as well as having 11 patents.
